Please help save Reggie-emergency surgery for our Cheeky Boy
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Reggie – a 2.5-year-old dachshund with a huge personality! I’m a big foodie and a cuddle bug but I rule the house with an iron paw and a signature sneeze of disapproval when things don’t go my way.
Unfortunately this year hasn’t been kind to me. In early April I was attacked by another dog which luckily only ended with a few puncture woulds and a course of antibiotics. A few weeks later however, I began to suffer from recurring urinary issues. Several vet visits, tests, and medications later, things took a sudden turn for the worse. Crystals formed in my bladder blocking my urinary tract, making it nearly impossible for me to pee. My mysterious condition quickly became a life-threatening emergency.
I went to my local vet clinic, then was transferred to a local vet hospital and finally, I was rushed to a specialist hospital, where I underwent surgery to save my life.
The cost of my emergency treatment is £12,000 (if everything goes well and I don’t need a follow-up surgery in a near future) on top of the £4,200 worth of bills from the vet clinic and the first hospital. My insurance only covered £8,000, and my humans are simply unable to pay the rest. That’s why we’re asking for your help.
Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards paying for the surgery that saved my life. If we raise more than we need, the extra will be used to manage my condition until the end of the year (when my insurance resets) and then donated to help other animals in crisis.
Thank you for reading my story and for supporting me during this tough time. Tail wags, puppy kisses, and endless gratitude from me and my family ❤️
