Help save Reggie the puppy's life!

Hi, my name is Vicky and I'm fundraising for my dear friends Lauren and Bruno and their children.

Their gorgeous little 1 year old Cockerpoo puppy, Reggie is critically ill. He's had two life saving emergency surgeries since Friday 21st June, but the insurance money is running out and won't cover ongoing vet hospital fees for the treatment needed to give him the best chance of survival.

Please help him if you can!

Last Friday Reggie suddenly became very poorly and wouldn't stop vomiting. He was rushed to the vets and an x-ray showed a bowel obstruction. He also was extremely dehydrated, had a severe infection, sepsis, kidney damage and was dying. He needed emergency surgery to remove the obstruction (which turned out to be part of a soft dog toy). Unfortunately a large part of Reggie's bowels had died and had to be cut out. He was then hospitalised, put on IV fluids, antibiotics, pain medication and round the clock care over the weekend.

He was allowed to come home to his family on Monday and all seemed hopeful. Unfortunately by Tuesday morning Reggie took a turn for the worst and was rushed back to the vets. Unfortunately the first surgery had failed and his stomach matter was leaking all over his internal organs, causing severe infection, peritonitis and sepsis again.

Reggie required a second emergency surgery to repair his stomach and intestines and to flush out the infection inside him. Although the surgery was successful, Reggie is still critically ill. He's in a great deal of pain, needs IV antibiotics and other medications and round the clock care. His vet has advised he needs to be hospitalised for 10 days post surgery.

After all the emergency treatment and surgery he's already received, the pet insurance will only cover a couple more days of stay.

His family want to give him the best chance to survive but just do not have the funds to pay for another 6 days in the vet hospital.

They are understandably devastated that this has happened to their beloved puppy.

Can you spare anything to give Reggie more time in hospital to give him the best chance of survival?
