Help Save Reeses' Life, She Deserves Better
Donation protected
Reeses is sick right now, but she's my baby and my best friend, and there's nothing I wouldn't do for her. Unfortunately though, a little while ago she got sick. I had been trying home remedies but nothing worked, and I didn't have the money to take her in.
Yesterday though (11/15/2020) she stopped eating and was hiding, she wasn't her normal sweet self. So, I quickly scraped up all my savings to have her seen.
What I found out was, she has 7-10 kidney stones, and is nearly in kidney failure. They unblocked her bladder, which was about to burst, but the stones are still a problem.
She still needs a big surgery and I don't have the money for it. Everything I had went to saving her today. If anyone could please help my sweet girl it'd mean the world to me!
She survived after losing one of her rear legs to a dog, I don't want to see her die because she can't pee.
Thank you to anyone who's read this far and an even bigger thanks to anyone who decides to donate! You give me hope in dark times.
*UPDATE*
Thank you so so much to everyone that has donated so far, you're all so amazing and I appreciate every cent! Reeses is feeling decent after the vet the other night and her first round of medicines, but she still needs surgery really soon. I've been trying to check surgery costs from different vets, but no matter what I need quite a bit more; and most vets require exams first which is slowing me down. I am moving as fast as I can to help her though, and I am so glad to you all are too.
*UPDATE 11/22/20*
The other day, Reeses got to see a much better vet that made me feel a little more hopeful about her situation. They said that since she had been unblocked and wasn't anymore (at the time) we could try using a diet change to see if the stones would dissolve. BUT, Reeses is stubborn, she doesn't love the new food and I'm already noticing her going to the bathroom more again but not much coming out, which means she's almost certainly blocked again. This means that she is more than likely going to need her surgery still *very soon*, and we're still a long way from our goal. Any shares or donations of any amount will be immensely appreciated, thanks for your time and support!
(Sorry I left this in the dark for a day, I desperately needed a break and with finals 2 weeks away on top of all of this, it's a struggle.)
