Laura and Casey are Ranger's mommy and daddy. Not long after moving to Boone, NC (Laura is a student at App State finishing her BA), Ranger came down with a severe case of kennel cough. He's been on antibiotics for a couple of months, battling this severe case. Last night Ranger had to be taken to the vet two times as he was having a difficult time breathing and was coughing up blood. His illness has moved beyond kennel cough. Ranger is still at the veterinarian's, fighting for his life as we speak. Laura and Casey are struggling as this is their baby. Laura found her doggy soulmate when she rescued Ranger as a pup. She has been a faithful mommy. Ranger even used to go to work with her when she lived in Hendersonville (doggy day camp--lucky doggy). Ranger knows a million tricks because of her love and dedication. He goes everywhere they go. Ranger is LOVED. And now, these two amazing humans who just moved to Boone, NC as a young couple are incurring some pretty stiff vet bills.
It seems as though it may be a viral infection/pneumonia (?). He's had two rounds of IV fluids, multiple x-rays, and higher-dosage medications have been prescribed, and now they are suggesting a biopsy later this evening or tomorrow. If I could tell you how much these two (and everyone in the family) adore this magical dog in words, I would, but I don't have the words. The love is too big to describe. And here's the ask. Would you consider donating ANY amount to help them continue Ranger's care and the vet bills they've incurred in the last few months? ANY amount would be appreciated to put towards saving and caring for this beautiful furry family member. If you love your fur baby as these two love theirs, you'd recognize kindred spirits in them.
Thank you in advance for reading and for anything you might be able to share. Thank you to those who have already offered up love, prayers, 'good juju'.
With Love and Gratitude,
One of Ranger's Grammies
