Ramona’s Story
Hello, my name is Michelle and I am fundraising for my beloved English Bulldog, Ramona. She is 3 years old, full of love, and truly the baby of our family.
Ramona is facing a serious condition that could leave her blind in both eyes. She has cherry eye in one eye, but the biggest issue is that she also suffers from entropion and inward-growing eyelashes in both eyes. This means her eyelids and lashes are constantly rubbing against her corneas, causing her pain every day and putting her at risk of losing her vision completely.
The surgery is urgent — without it, Ramona will go blind and continue to live in discomfort. The total cost of surgery, including anesthesia (which is more complex for English Bulldogs), is $9,265.56 if done all at once. If separated into different procedures, the cost would be even higher.
Ramona has been with us since we emigrated from Uruguay to Canada 2 years ago. She has been our companion through every challenge, and now, with the arrival of our baby in 2024, our little family has grown. We do everything we can to give the best to both our babies — our son and Ramona — but the costs here are overwhelming, and this surgery is far beyond what we can afford on our own.
Ramona is not “just a dog.” She is family, she is our daughter, and she means the world to us. Please, if you can help us save her sight and give her the pain-free life she deserves, we would be forever grateful. Every donation, big or small, brings us one step closer to keeping Ramona’s world bright and full of love.
