Quinny is my 10-year-old cat and truly the best cat ever. She’s always been the sweetest and just loves to be around people. Back in November, Quinny suddenly became paralyzed from the waist down. We rushed her to Blue Pearl, where the vets ruled out a saddle thrombus—a very dangerous condition for cats—but nothing at the time was found except that her platelets were low and her heart looked slightly enlarged. They recommended we follow up with a cardiologist, but after our dog’s surgery, we had no more credit on our CareCredit account and couldn’t investigate further. Quinny was sent home with medication, and we did our best to keep her comfortable. Over the next few weeks, she regained movement in her legs and seemed to be getting better, so we hoped the worst was behind us.
Unfortunately, things have taken a turn for the worse. Quinny has stopped eating, wants to hide, and sleeps all day. She is also wobbly when she walks. I’m so worried that whatever was wrong before has come back. I want to take her for a full workup at Blue Pearl to find out what’s going on and try to save her. This has all happening at a really tough time for us—our dog needed surgery, we’ve had unexpected home repairs, car, and medical costs. 5k is the goal but anything helps. This was the amount Blue Pearl had quoted us. If you know me, you know I’ve never asked for help like this before, but Quinny means the world to me and deserves every chance. I’m heartbroken to see her like this, and any support you can give would mean so much to us and help give her the care she needs.
