Every small business starts with someone's dream, and that's how it happened to me. In 2005, I dreamed of creating a place that would be more than just somewhere to train dogs—a place that would become a true community for dog lovers and their dogs, where they could have fun, build great relationships, and keep learning together. Over the past 21 years, we’ve done just that at Pup 'N Iron Canine Enrichment Center. We’re now welcoming our third generation of customers, some of whom first came as kids with their parents and grandparents. We’ve grown thanks to word of mouth from satisfied customers and the veterinary community, with little to no paid advertising.
Sadly, the challenges of the current economy have caught up with us. For the past two years, our revenue has been in the red, and we now struggle month to month just to pay our lease and our wonderful employee. We simply can’t continue like this and will be forced to close our doors on May 31, 2026, when our lease is up—unless something changes. As an eternal optimist, I’m not ready to let go of this dream. That’s why I’m turning to crowdfunding as a last effort to help us pivot and keep going.
If you’ve watched and appreciated our work through the years, I hope you’ll consider sending a donation of any size to show your support. Your help will go directly toward our lease and payroll, giving us a chance to keep our doors open and continue serving the community we love. We’ve been a stalwart in our local area and have reached people around the world through social media. I hope we’ve touched and inspired you in some way. Thank you for being part of our journey.
Sincerely,
Laurie C. Williams
