Help Save Pumpkin – Emergency Surgery & Mounting Vet Bills

Pumpkin has been my son's best friend since the day he held him for the first time. At just two months old, this tiny, orange ball of fur nestled into his arms, trusting him completely. My son promised to love and protect him always. But now, Pumpkin is fighting for his life, and my son is left heartbroken, watching helplessly as his best friend suffers.

It all started when the shelter required Pumpkin to be neutered before he could be officially adopted. My son, always doing the right thing, brought him in for surgery at just five months old. But something went terribly wrong. They removed only one testicle, leaving the other undetected. Instead of answers, Pumpkin came home with a painful wound and an infection that nearly broke him. My son nursed him day and night, whispering promises that everything would be okay.

Then, the shelter called again. Another surgery was needed—they had to try again. Trusting their expertise, my son took Pumpkin back, believing this time they would do right by him. But they didn’t. They operated, leaving a brutal five-inch incision on his tiny body, and still, they couldn’t find the missing testicle. They cut him open—again—without being sure. My son’s heart shattered as he brought Pumpkin home, his tiny body weak, his eyes filled with pain and confusion.

Then, the fever hit.

Pumpkin's small body burned at 106°F, his little chest rising and falling in agony. We rushed him to the emergency vet, praying he would survive. The doctors said his condition was critical—his body was shutting down from the trauma, and he needed yet another emergency surgery. They admitted him immediately, and we were left outside, staring at the doors that separated us, powerless to help.

The medical bills are piling up, crushing us under their weight. My son has reached out to the shelter for help, pleading for the support Pumpkin deserves, but there has been only silence. And now, he is left carrying this burden alone—watching his best friend suffer, desperate to save him.

We can’t do this alone.

Please, if you can help, even the smallest donation will go directly to saving Pumpkin’s life. If you can’t donate, please share. Pumpkin deserves a chance to heal, to come home, to be back in the arms of the boy who has loved him since day one.

We want to share how these funds will be used to make the biggest impact:

$2,879 will go toward vet bills, ensuring the proper care and medical attention needed.
$621 will support recovery efforts, providing the necessary resources for a smooth and healthy rehabilitation.

Every dollar you contributed is making a real difference, and we couldn’t have done this without your kindness and support. Thank you for being part of this effort and helping us make a positive impact!

From the depths of our hearts, thank you!
