Powder is my beloved deaf double Merle dog, and he’s been struggling to adjust to the world around him. Recently, he had a mild undocumented bite incident, which has made my neighbors fearful and put us in a difficult position—especially since we live in a rental home. Powder’s deafness makes it hard for him to understand and trust his environment, and his growing insecurity has started to put him at risk. I’m desperate to help him before things get worse, because I know he’s a good dog who just needs a real chance.

Powder’s challenges are not his fault. He’s afraid of the world because he can’t hear it, and that fear sometimes comes out in ways that make others nervous. Without immediate intervention from a professional behaviorist and specialized training, Powder’s life is in danger. I love him more than anything, and I can’t imagine losing him simply because he didn’t get the help he needed. No one is willing to take him on without this intervention, and euthanasia is not something I want for him.
