Help Save Poppy : Fighting for Her Life

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to you at a challenging time to ask for help for my dog, Poppy. Poppy is a sweet and loving 10-year-old Bichon Frise who has been my constant companion and joy. Recently, her health has taken a serious and unexpected turn, and now she is fighting for her life.

Poppy’s Health Crisis

A week ago, Poppy was diagnosed with severe anemia, and the vets suspect she may have leukemia or another form of cancer. Despite the uncertainty, Poppy has been fighting with everything she has, and I’m determined to do everything in my power to save her.

She’s been lethargic, weak, and struggling to even walk. After multiple tests, treatments, and overnight stays at the vet, the medical costs are overwhelming.

I recently had to demand a lifesaving blood transfusion for her, as the vet’s initial suggestion was to put her down. However, I’m not ready to give up on Poppy. The transfusion could stabilise her and give us the time we need to explore further treatments.

Why We Need Your Help

I’ve exhausted my savings trying to give Poppy the care she deserves. The next steps in her treatment, including the blood transfusion, further diagnostics, and potentially even chemotherapy or other treatments, will require far more than I can manage alone.

The estimated cost for her blood transfusion and further treatments could range between £4,500 to £10,000 depending on how she responds. That’s why I’m turning to the kindness and generosity of family, friends, and animal lovers. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help give Poppy a fighting chance at life.
