Help Save Polū

Hi, our names are Alyssa Neri and Alan Lamphere. Our dog Polū is 9 years old and has been diagnosed with a spinal disease which is causing pressure on his spine leaving him in extreme pain. Polū is currently at the emergency vet for the third time this week. After the second time, he was put on fentanyl and ketamine and when he was given back to us his condition declined rapidly. He is now unable to walk or sleep. He is in dire need of surgery. The vet said there is a 90% success rate for him to live a normal life after the surgery. We are asking anyone who loves animals to please donate so that Polū can get this surgery. Anything at all helps. Polū is the sweetest, most loving animal and he has made us the happiest animal parents in the world. Polū loves the beach and chasing sand crabs and giving kisses and cuddling and doing stretches in the morning and spinning in 360's to get carrots and pureed pumpkin and going on scavenger hunts for blueberries and comforting you when you don't feel good and giving you the most intense eye contact of your life and rocking the freshest haircuts and being the all around best dog in the whole world. We cannot imagine a life without him. I adopted him from the humane society 7 years ago and he has been by my side ever since, everywhere I go, even when I travel.
