Update, we lost Peanut Christmas Eve to FIP. His body, even with the medication, could not fight off the virus. We rushed him to emergency and could not save him. Shannon and Tanya were with him when he passed. On top of losing Peanut, we discovered another kitty, Ben also has FIP. This is unheard of but we were assured it's not contagious, some cats just can't fight it off on their own. So we will continue to fight for Tofu and Ben. In addition to the expensive medication, there is testing and additional medical needs, like the eye drops for Tofu. Tofu is hanging in there. Ben seems to be doing well responding to the meds and is stable. They are together which is helping Tofu get over the loss of her sibling. We will continue to fight for these two. Please donate if you can.
Hi my name is Melissa Law and I am raising money for Petaluma PET Pals. We have two kitties in our program, Peanut and Tofu, siblings who both tested positive for FIP. FIP is a virus that attacks white blood cells and makes the kitties extremely sick. It is a death sentence without treatment. The treatments however are very expensive and must be given every day for weeks to save their lives. We are a very small rescue so please help us help them and donate. No amount too small. Thank you.
