Patricia Pugh Needs Your Help!
Pat is no stranger to medical adversity. Born with poly-cystic kidney disease, Pat underwent and survived a liver and kidney transplant almost two years ago. While her warrior spirit saw her through years of dialysis and the transplant itself, Pat is now facing a new life-threatening challenge.
Pat is battling squamous cell carcinomas that are threatening to take her sight and life. After 32 ineffective radiation treatments and multiple rounds of chemotherapy, nothing seemed to stop the uncomfortable, cancerous growths on her forehead. After the doctors in Tulsa decided they could do no more, Pat decided to travel to MD Anderson in Houston at great cost to her and her family. Luckily, the doctors there gave some hope. On May 23rd, 2019, Pat will undergo an extensive ten hour surgery to remove the carcinomas and restructure the areas on her face that are affected. After ten months of pain, near blindness, constant fever, infections, chemotherapy, radiation and embarrassment, Pat has a chance to regain the life she remembers and deserves. A life of caring for her husband, children and grandchildren. Her granddaughter and grandson only want to feel their Nana's love for as long as they can.
Pat and her family humbly ask for any donations you feel compelled to give. The money will be used for medical bills, paying for housing in Houston and travel costs.
