Save Pancetta, the dog

Dear friends and animal lovers,

Meet Pancetta, our beloved 8 years old Boston Terrier. She’s a sweet and spirited soul who has recently faced some serious health challenges. About two weeks ago, Pancetta was rushed to the emergency vet clinic, where she was diagnosed with pyometra, a dangerous infection in her uterus.

The vet performed a surgery to remove the infected uterus. However, Pancetta’s journey to recovery has been far from smooth. Due to severe anemia, she required a few blood transfusions after the initial surgery. Despite their best efforts, the vets discovered that she was still losing blood, and a hernia had developed at the surgical site.

Now, Pancetta urgently needs another surgery to repair the hernia. But here’s the catch: she’s too weak to undergo the procedure immediately. So, she’ll remain at the pet hospital for additional recovery time before and after the upcoming surgery. There’s also a possibility that she’ll need more blood transfusions.

As of April 29, the bill has already reached €4,370.

We anticipate that the expenses will be more than double after the second surgery.

Fortunately, we have insurance that will cover the surgical costs (approximately €1000 each). However, we still need help to take care of the remaining expenses.

The vets told us to consider "putting her to sleep", but I cannot give up on her.

Every euro counts, and every act of kindness brings us closer to saving Pancetta.
