Elder abuse comes in many forms but to find out you trusted your child to care for your financial future only to be betrayed so deeply that it shakes you to your soul its almost uncomprenhesible. You go through so many levels of denial until you reach a boiling point. Back in June of 2016 Pamm discovered this deception by her daughter and her daughters husband. It was devistating and finding any legal help was nothing more than doors slamming in her face. She was facing eviction from the home she thought she rightfully owned. She finally found a lawyer that would take the case and raised enough money to hire him. Last week by 12/16 it would have been over and Pamm would be on the street.  On  12/14 her attorney  filed suit against these 2 kids and it put a stay on the eviction till the next court date on 12/28. Thank god she can spend Christmas in her home with her cat Piper and her husband to be. But her lawyer needs to get paid for their work. Pamm is disabled and lives on SSI, the equivlent of the poverty level. This story plays out too often in society today and often the  damage is too deep and nothing can be done.
