Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for help saving our beloved black cat, Salem. He’s only five years old, but he’s now facing his third urinary tract blockage—a painful, life-threatening condition that requires immediate surgery to survive.

The vet has told us that his only chance is a surgical procedure to change his anatomy, preventing future blockages. Without it, our only other option is to put him down. He’s still so young, full of life, and loves to snuggle, chase toys, and nap in sunbeams. We can’t bear to lose him so soon.

Unfortunately, this comes at an incredibly difficult time for our family.

• One of us is a full-time college student, working hard to balance classes, full-time mom duty and an internship.

• Another is currently on medical leave and dealing with personal health challenges.

• We also have a toddler in daycare, and between tuition, medical costs, and childcare, money is extremely tight.

We’re doing everything we can, but the cost of the surgery and hospitalization is beyond what we can afford right now.

If you’re able to donate—even a few dollars—it would mean the world to us and could be the difference between saving Salem’s life or losing him. Every share, every kind word, and every bit of help brings us closer to keeping our sweet boy with us.

Anything left over from Salem’s expenses will be donated to his emergency vet to assist struggling families in the future.
