Help Save Our Sweet Cat, Chandler Bing

Hi, my name is Serena, and I’m reaching out for help with my sweet cat, Chandler Bing. He has been a part of our little family for the past six years, and he means the world to me and my nine-year-old son. He’s been a constant source of comfort and love through the ups and downs of life.

At the end of June, Chandler developed an eye infection. Overnight, his face became swollen, and we rushed him to the vet. He was given eye drops, antibiotics, and anti-inflammatory medication. The infection in his eye cleared up, but a large mass remained on his face.

As the week went on, the mass became hard, started to spread, and eventually opened into a painful wound. The vets believe it may be a root abscess, but to fully understand why these lumps have spread so quickly, he needs a biopsy.

Chandler is scheduled for surgery on July 17th. The vets will be removing the large mass from his chest, face, and back, as well as removing some of his teeth to stop the infection from spreading. They’ll also do a biopsy during the surgery to figure out exactly what’s going on and how to best treat him.

I’m a single mom, and covering these costs on my own has been really difficult. My son and I love Chandler so much. He has been such an important part of our lives, especially for my son who has leaned on him for comfort over the years. Chandler is such a gentle, loving cat. He’ll happily curl up in your arms all night, and when we have visitors, he always finds a lap to snuggle on. He has a heart of gold.
