Our sweet 2 year old boy, Teddy, is fighting for his life and we are desperately trying to get him the care he needs. After weeks of respiratory illness, he suddenly developed severe neurological symptoms (seizures, inability to walk, disorientation, and loss of motor control). He has been hospitalized and receiving round-the-clock care, but his doctors now urgently recommend an MRI and a spinal tap to find out what is happening in his brain and how to treat him. Over the past few days he has not been responding to treatment. Without these diagnostic tests they can only guess, and we risk losing precious time. We have already spent over $5,000 on emergency treatment and hospitalization, and the MRI alone is estimated to cost an additional $4,000–$6,000. We love him more than words can explain, and we just want to give him the best chance at recovery.
