Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for help for a beloved member of our family—our dog, Axel. He’s not just a pet. For the past 7 years, Axel has been our loyal companion, our protector, our comfort during hard times, and a constant source of love and joy.

Recently, Axel fell seriously ill. After an already traumatic surgery last night to remove something that was wrapped around his bowel, the surgeons having to remove 25% of his bowel and over 50% of it being purple and rupturing twice, the doctors now suspect he may have sepsis—a life-threatening condition that requires immediate and intensive medical care. He will need further treatment, possibly more surgeries, and extended hospitalisation to give him a fighting chance. The estimated cost is between $15,000 and $20,000.

Axel is especially close to our 16-year-old brother, who has grown up with him and sees him as a best friend. Axel is also a loving brother to our other two dogs, Kyrah and Marley who are clearly feeling his absence and confusion about where he is.

Watching him suffer has been devastating for all of us. We’re doing everything we can to get him the care he needs, but the financial burden is overwhelming for our poor parents who only need to worry about Axel right now. We never thought we’d be in this position, but we’re humbly asking for help—whether it’s through a donation or simply sharing this post.

Every little bit helps and means the world to us. Axel still has so much life, love, and tail wags to give. Please help us bring him home.
