Help Save Our Pups from Canine Parvovirus

We are Fresh Start Rescue Incorporated, a foster-based animal rescue located in Southeast Queensland. We’re a 100% volunteer-run organization, powered by the generosity of our amazing supporters, and dedicated to giving animals the second chance they deserve.

Right now, we are facing an urgent crisis. Jessie, a sweet 7-week-old puppy, and her siblings were rescued from a remote pound in Central Queensland, but heartbreakingly, 4 of the 6 showed signs of the deadly canine parvovirus shortly after their arrival. Parvo is a highly contagious and often fatal virus, especially in young puppies. We have already lost one precious puppy life, Charlotte, to this cruel disease, but we are fighting with everything we have to save the others.

Jessie, in particular, is in critical care at the Animal Referral Hospital in Brisbane. She has been battling with all her strength, undergoing scans, nasogastric tube treatments, and intensive monitoring. Thankfully, Jessie is showing signs of improvement—small steps, but ones we are holding on to with hope.

Our vet bills have reached a level we never imagined, and they continue to grow as Jessie and her siblings fight to survive. The cost of their life-saving care is significant, and we need help from kind-hearted animal lovers like you to cover the expenses.

Every animal we rescue deserves the best chance at a happy, healthy life. These puppies, like so many we save from remote pounds, have already faced hardship. They deserve a fresh start—a life full of love and safety, far from the dangers of parvo and other preventable diseases. We are determined to give them the future they were promised, but we can’t do it alone.
