Update** Luna is home now in good spirits. She got a parvo antibody shot at the veterinarian hospital. We were also told that she likely contracted the virus prior to us purchasing her. We don't know what to do at this point. We have contacted the seller to no effect if they are going to help us in compensating for the vet bills. Given our family just financed our first van we can now add this to our list of debt. Let us hope the seller does the right thing in helping with the vet bills.
Our 10-week-old golden retriever puppy Luna suddenly became very sick, and the emergency vet diagnosed her with parvovirus. We caught it early, she was still wagging her tail, playing fetch, and cuddling with us just before we brought her in.
The vets started IV fluids and medications right away, and she’s fighting hard to recover. The cost for just one night of care was $4,300, and she may need additional days of treatment to make it through.
We’re doing everything we can to give her the best chance, but the medical bills are overwhelming. We didn’t expect this when we brought her home on 10-9 we just wanted to give her a loving family and a safe place to grow up.
Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward her hospital stay, treatment, and recovery. If you can’t donate, please share this page, it truly helps more than you know.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us fight for our puppy’s life.
