On 11 August 2025, my sister’s life changed forever when she had to undergo an emergency cesarean section at just 27 weeks of pregnancy due to severe medical complications. Her baby girl came into this world far too soon, fighting for every breath.
From the moment she was born, our little fighter has been in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). She was diagnosed with low hemoglobin levels and severe breathing difficulties. Her condition became critical, and she had to be placed on a ventilator to survive.
Her hemoglobin levels dropped so dangerously low that doctors had to give her an urgent blood transfusion. By God’s grace, the transfusion helped stabilize her hemoglobin, and she was able to come off the ventilator and return to the NICU for ongoing care.
But even now, she is still extremely fragile and requires constant monitoring and specialized medical support. The doctors have told us that she will need a long-term stay in the NICU before she is strong enough to go home.
We are currently at a hospital in Bangalore, India, and the cost of keeping her in the NICU is ₹50,000 (around $790CAD) per day. This is far beyond what our family can afford, yet moving her to another facility is impossible because of her unstable condition.
Our hearts are breaking as we watch this tiny baby fight for her life. She deserves the chance to grow, to smile, and to have the future every child deserves. But we cannot do this alone.
We are humbly asking for your help. Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly towards her life-saving NICU care, medications, and support. Your kindness and generosity can give her the chance to survive and thrive.
Please keep our baby girl in your prayers and share this campaign with others who might be able to help.
Donate. Share. Pray. Help us bring our baby home.
