We were recently told that one of our most precious 150yr old Oak trees is starting to die but there's still some time to save it with tree surgery where one of the dead limbs would need to be cut off in order to save the rest of the tree. This one in particular has 4 limbs which we were told is unique for oaks. For those of you who know about this type of thing - this is a very costly project, and in our case there's an added challenge which adds to the complexity. This particular branch is hanging above a living space (cabin) and brick patio. It has to be cut down in portions and is a dangerous project requiring specialists with the appropriate equipment.

We are open to talking with any of you who have had experience with this or know of someone who might be able to share some knowledge with us around how to properly care for our oaks long-term and especially how to save it. This oak is a very central & monumental piece at the heart of Wild Seeds Ranch & it would be such a shame to see it go.
