Help save our Penny Bear in Tahoe City
Want to join me in making a difference? Tahoe Public Art is raising money to keep our installation permanently in Tahoe City, CA. Ursa Mater (Mother Penny Bear), created by husband and wife artists Mr. and Mrs. Ferguson, is a 12-foot tall mother grizzly bear. The two cubs are surrounded by their mother, the tallest being 6-feet and the other standing at 5-feet. The sculpture is made from 200,000 pennies, and is a statement of a mother's love and protection. If you love this art installation as much as we do, please consider making a donation today. We are hoping to reach our fundraising goal of $15,000 by this summer in order to keep our Penny Bear as a permanent installation.
