My name is CK and my family has always tried to handle our struggles quietly, especially my Mom. She would rather carry the weight of our problems than burden us with knowing they even exist. She’s worked hard to pay back every bill, even when things got tough. But after my Father had to stop working due to Sarcoidosis (a terminal illness, sadly) and having a stroke, everything changed. Now, we’re facing the real possibility of losing our home, and it’s a fear that keeps us up at night. My Mom’s last attempt at saving our home was her filing Chapter 13. She didn’t want to file Chapter 7 bankruptcy because she feels responsible for her debts, but we’re running out of options. Unfortunately, the payments are so high we fell behind. There isn’t enough left for other bills and food, etc. My Father finally received Medicare (or Medicaid?) due to his disability and inability to work, but it’s not even enough to feed one person. He’s tried to get more assistance but has been turned down every time. He even donated plasma until they banned him for health problems. My Mom also cannot donate plasma because she had two major neck surgeries otherwise she would be there every week

We’re asking for help because we need to catch up on our Chapter 13 arrears. If we can get caught up soon, there’s a real chance we can save our home and keep our family together. Every donation will go directly toward these payments, giving us hope that we can get through this difficult time. The cost of food and necessities has skyrocketed and we know there are many others in this boat with us. We owed 99,000 on the house before this. It would be the biggest failure to lose it now.
