Since the start of COVID-19, our private gym in LA Koreatown has faced challenges we never could have imagined. Gyms were among the first businesses to close, and the strict distancing and sanitization policies made it nearly impossible to keep up with rent or serve our clients. For over a year, we struggled to keep the doors open, but the financial toll has been overwhelming. Now, after 15 years of hard work, we are just a week or two away from having to close our gym for good. Every piece of equipment we bought with our own hands may have to be sold for pennies, and the debt has become too much to bear.

If we are able to raise enough funds, every dollar will go directly toward paying rent. This would allow us to keep our equipment and continue serving the clients who rely on our gym as a place for health, community, and support. This gym is not just a business—it was and still is our family’s main source of income and a dream my father built from nothing. As his son, I feel the responsibility to do everything I can to keep it alive for our family and our community.

We are currently 1 weeks away from paying our next month’s rent which is 3k.
If we are able to raise 3k by the 26th we would possibly be able to pass this month and stay open for our gym members & community.
The total amount due current date would be 19k which has accumulated since 2021 which we have been paying off slowly until the owner decided we now have to pay in full.
