Help Save Our Family Dog From A Treatable Brain Tumour
Donation protected
Hi my name is Amy and we are raising funds for our beloved 8 year old Boston Terrier, Titch, who was unexpectedly diagnosed last month with a brain tumour. The tumour is benign but is pressing on her pituitary gland, causing Cushing’s disease, a condition where the adrenal glands produce too much cortisol and cause a severe decline in health and quality of life.
Her symptoms include headaches, loss of appetite (leading to severe weight loss), excessive drinking, lethargy, leg weakness, hair loss and skin sores.
After many tests scans and 3D imaging to determine her viability for invasive treatment, we were informed last week that Titch is suitable for either surgery to remove the mass or definitive radiotherapy. Both will cost in the region of £10-11k.
Because of the lengthy procedure in testing and diagnosing her condition and the huge cost of the ct scan which revealed the tumour, we have already spent the majority of her £10k per year insurance cover.
Her health is rapidly declining so time is of the essence. We want to give our little girl the best chance possible of survival and allow her many more happy years with her loving family.
Your donations would be combined with our own funds and the remainder of our insurance money, to enable us to proceed with surgery to remove the tumour, or alternatively, a very powerful radiotherapy which would have the same effect as the surgery. In both cases the tumour would be eradicated and the life limiting Cushing’s disease along with it.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our cause. Pets are family and we couldn’t live with ourselves if we didn’t do everything we possibly could to save her. Any help you can give would mean the world to us.
