Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to ask for help for our beloved dog, Zoey — a sweet 14-year-old Shih Tzu who has been a cherished part of our family since she was a puppy in Hawaii.

Just one day before her birthday, on April 30, 2025, Zoey was in excruciating pain — struggling to breathe, whining, wheezing, and partially paralyzed. We rushed her to the emergency vet, where she was diagnosed with a mammary mass and a palpable abdominal mass. She's now under intensive care, requiring ongoing medication and urgent surgery.

The total cost for her emergency hospital visits, veterinary care, medications, and upcoming surgery is over $5,000. While we’ve pulled together everything we can as a family, we simply cannot afford this on our own. We’re doing everything we can to ensure Zoey gets the treatment she needs — but we need your help.

Zoey isn’t just a dog — she’s a pivotal member of our family. She’s been my emotional support during the hardest times of the past decade, my grandma’s constant companion at home, and a loyal best friend to my parents. Her love, cuddles, and joyful “tongue-smile” have brightened our days and touched every heart she meets.

Even at 14, Zoey’s spirit is bright. She still dreams of beach walks, warm cuddles, and greeting everyone she sees with her happy bark. We want nothing more than to give her the chance to enjoy life again — pain-free and surrounded by the love she’s given us for so many years.
