Hi, my name is Asma Darabeh, and I'm reaching out to you from Gaza. I'm a mother to two beautiful little girls, Hind, aged 6, and Lana, aged 4.
We used to have a happy life filled with laughter in our home in northern Gaza. But the ongoing war has shattered our world. We were forced to flee our home to find safety, leaving everything behind. Sadly, we later learned that our home was destroyed.
The war has been especially tough on my little daughters, Hind and Lana. They've faced more hardship than any child should. All I really want is to see them happy, playing, and enjoying their childhood without fear.
The last pictures are taken during a short walk in the camp in Rafah in an attempt to change my daughters' mood.
The constant struggle to survive this war has exhausted us in many different ways, including in financial terms. My husband, an agricultural engineer, and I, a math teacher, have both lost our jobs due to the war, leaving us with no source of income to support our family through these difficult times.
I was very hesitant to start this campaign, but with the ongoing threats of the ground invasion of Rafah where we are now, we have no choice but to cross the border for safety. But we can't do it alone. We need to raise $5000 for each of us to cover the fees required to cross the borders to safety.
I'm humbly asking for your help. Your support could make all the difference for me and my family. Your support can give Hind and Lana the chance they deserve for a better life.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and generosity.
