In 2013, after months of severe headaches, doctors discovered a rare and aggressive cancer—stage 4 neuroesthesioblastoma, a tumor extending from his nose to his brain.
He underwent emergency surgery and radiation. It changed his life forever, making it difficult to work—but he never stopped fighting for us. He continued to provide for our family, caring for my mom, my brothers (including one with special needs), and me—always putting us first.
In 2019, the cancer came back.
Once again, he went through surgery and radiation with incredible strength. The emotional and financial toll was hard and overwhelming, but he never gave up.
Last year, after everything, he finally found a job and began rebuilding his life.
Now, in 2026, the cancer is back again
Because he does not have insurance, he has relied on the public hospital system, where limited resources delayed diagnosis.
By the time doctors found the tumor, it had already grown significantly and is now pressing on critical areas of his brain.
He needs urgent brain surgery to survive.
Without this surgery, doctors have told us he may have only about six months to live.
We are devastated—but we are not ready to lose him.
Our family has already lost so much to this disease—our home, our jobs, our financial stability. We are doing everything we can, but the cost of this life-saving surgery and medical care is far beyond what we can afford.
