UPDATE: unfortunately we were not able to Save our Dad. Our dad past way today at 12:05pm and now we are in need of help with burial, funeral, and Memorial cost So all the funds we have raised so far will go towards the cost. But since my dad had no life insurance or accepted to pass so sudden. We were not prepared. The cost of a funeral these days is alot we will be doing other fundraising as well to give our dad his wishes to be buried next to his brother. Thank you all for all the support and prayers thru our rough journey and my dads battling fight. We know he is with our grandma and grandpa and his brothers and sisters and is ok with God. And he will be watching over us all.
This is our dad Lester. He is 58yrs old. With 3 children and 7 grandchildren. He went in for a knee replacement surgery in Feb. 2019. While in the hospital He cought MRSA. He was then sent to a nursing home right after for rehabilitation where he was never given the proper antibiotics for the MRSA. Which turn septice. And got in his blood which ended up shut all his organs down. He has fought a long hard battle. He was admitted into ICU in March where he was intubated for 3 weeks and we were told he would not Make it. To everyone's surprise my dad fought hard while in a coma and proved doctors wrong. He woke up and was on the road to recovery with amazing progress. Until he was sent to a step down hospital to continue 5 weeks of antibiotics. He was back walking, talking eating before arriving to this hospital. In the 2 weeks he was at the hospital they neglected him to the point they sent him right back where we started at and with more problem. Now our dad is back the hospital that's fighting to save his life once again. This time much harder. But his insurance will not let him stay there much longer. We are given the news that our dad will need 24hr care do to him having to take a medication that requires him to have every 2hrs on the dot 24hrs aday everyday. But his insurance does not cover the care. So we are reaching out for help. Help to save our DAD for him, for us his children and for his grandchildren. Our dad is amazing guy. Please any help is appreciated and truly grateful for. Thank you!!
