Hi everyone,
2 months ago my family rescued a beautiful bulldog who’s previous owners couldn’t keep him because of his extreme allergies due to environmental conditions. He has been a great comfort and has brought our family a lot of joy. We couldn’t be more thankful that he came into our lives. As he has received further veterinary care, it has come to light that the allergy medicine and heart murmur medicine he takes are barely keeping him alive. He needs multiple surgical interventions just to be able to breath, eat and drink normally. He has been in extreme discomfort in the past few weeks and we want to do everything we can to save our dog. Having already spent $2000 on 3 vet visits and a trip to the emergency room, we are looking at immediate expenses totalling $5,600 plus incidentals. Here's the breakdown:
*Cardiologist work-up including xrays and echocardiogram $1100
*Neuter w/ retained testicle $1000
*Stenatic nares resection $1000
*Soft palate resection $1500
(We are hoping that by having all 3 surgical procedures done at the same time, the price might be slightly less)
$500 vet follow-up
$500 cardio follow-up
We needed to get puppers to the cardiologist as of yesterday, but we flat out don't have the financing to pay for this first step.
