Help Save Our Boulder Chapter

We are the Alpha Kappa Lambda chapter at Boulder. Our chapter is in a unique position to grow after a few dwindling years; losing our house due to corrupt management companies, being one of two Alpha Kappa Lambda chapters to have their assets audited and frozen previously, and even a treasurer who chose not to pay our national bill leaving us in debt. However, our chapter is back on fraternity row, The Hill, with the strongest executive board we have seen since our chartering in 2017. Our brothers all have the same mindset for growth and are willing to put in the time for the chapter’s betterment. We are reaching out for financial support so we can fuel our on-campus presence, philanthropic duties, and growth of the chapter. With more financial support, we would be able to enhance our new house, increase our recruitment budget, and extend our philanthropic efforts. For our house, we would purchase security cameras lessening the chance of theft and protecting ourselves from safety liabilities, a tent for our backyard enabling us to host larger social events, and purchase many items for our common spaces making our fraternity house a home for our community. Rush is our largest concern and where we need the most financial support. Our hope is to be able to do better events, like bringing potential new members to Rockies games which would give time to get to know potential new members in a more intimate setting. In addition, do smaller activities such as bringing a potential member to lunch with a few brothers. Lastly, host a catered event at our house, inviting in one of our alumni who has started his own hot sauce/catering business, The Boulder Hot Sauce Co. Showing potential members that our alumni are more than willing to come back and spend time with old brothers. In the past, our philanthropic efforts have been an afterthought, however, in the new era of the AKL Alpha Omicron chapter we are reestablishing it as one of our core values and executive principles. We have supported many different causes raising money after the Palisades fires, donating to Movember, bake sales for Autism Awareness, tabling for These Hands Don’t Hurt, and many more in the future. No matter what our financial support comes out to be through donation, we will set aside 15% to immediately donate to These Hands Don’t Hurt our national organization’s chosen support group which deals with supporting victims of domestic abuse. This will start our semester off strong with both our local community and extend further to our national organization. Thank you for any and all support!
