Hi everyone,

My heart is breaking as I write this. My sweet Shar Pei suddenly became very sick, and after rushing him to the vet for emergency care, I learned that he needs surgery as soon as possible. It has to be done tomorrow since it is already evening. I have already paid for an expensive diagnostic, which cost about half the price of the surgery. I can only cover so much on my own. To make things even harder, I am a federal employee, and with the government currently shut down, I am working without pay. This has made it almost impossible for me to afford the surgery he needs right now.

This surgery is his best and possibly only chance to recover and live a happy, healthy life. He is more than just a pet. He is family. He has been with me through every season of life, offering unconditional love, comfort, and joy. Seeing him in pain and not understanding why is heartbreaking. I know he can pull through this with treatment, but I cannot do it alone.
 
Every dollar will go directly toward his surgery, medications, and recovery care. I am doing everything I can to help him, and any donation or share means the world to me. Even the smallest amount helps bring us closer to giving him the care he deserves.
