Help Save Our Beloved Cow Bus

Greetings Cow Friends!

I am Patrick Coughlin the creator of Sir Loin the Magnificent AKA The Cow Bus and the RAGBRAI group Team Cow. People always ask, "Why Cows"? You can read that story below, but let me tell you why we need help first. 2024 was our 21st year as a RAGBRAI team. We had another great year with 7 new members doing their first RAGBRAI!! It was great that is until the last day when our Cow Bus broke down. It had to be towed to a shop in Burlington ($740) and the repair bill is $7,600 (new fuel pump, rebuilt injectors, lines, labor and more)! Our family recently had some other financial set backs and we simply don't have that kind of money. We also can't bear the thought of taking our beloved Cow Bus to the junk yard. That would just break our hearts so we are raising money to get it fixed. With your help we hope to keep mooooving down the road and creating more wonderful memories like these!

The "Why Cows" story is that I wanted to make a camper out of an old school bus and my was not excited at the prospect of camping in, "an old homemade, school bus camper", LOL! But she loved cows and had a cow kitchen with a cow border, cow print napkin rings, and everything cow print you can think of. So I used the Cow Bus idea to convince her it would be fun. "You can make cow curtains and decorate and we'll get a horn that moos", I said. She finally agreed and the rest is history.
