Hello everyone,
I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help. Our beloved cat, Sarge, is facing a urgent life-threatening condition, and I am in desperate need of financial assistance to cover the extravagant, but necessary medical expenses.
Sarge has been a cherished member of our family for 3 years and has brought much joy, comfort, and unconditional love into our lives. He is the sweetest boy! Unfortunately, he needs two surgeries asap. He has been diagnosed with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia which is a tear or rupture in the diaphragm. His intestines are literally in his chest cavity. This requires surgery that should be performed as soon as possible in order to avoid further damage to the animal's internal organs. This is a life threatening condition thoroughly examined by our trusted veterinarian & confirmed by other veterinary sources.
He also has severe urethral trauma whereby a perineal urethrostomy (PU) is necessary. This creates a new urinary opening that decreases the length of the urethra and allows urine to bypass this narrowed region. This surgery can decrease the likelihood of recurring obstruction.
The treatment for Sarge's conditions is costly, and as a retired military family living on a military pension, we are unable to cover these expenses alone. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a tremendous difference in giving Sarge a fighting chance at life. If he does not receive the necessary surgery he will not survive.
Although a single surgery costs anywhere been $3,800 to $12K, our goal is to raise $5,000.00 to cover most of the surgeries & hospitalizations, vet bills, medications, labs, treatments, X-Rays, and diagnostics. Your support means the world to us, and it could mean the difference between life and death for Sarge. Please consider donating, and if you can't contribute financially, sharing this campaign with your friends and family would also be immensely appreciated.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and generosity during this difficult time. Together, we can give Sarge the chance to enjoy many more happy and healthy years with our family.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Sarge & the Rodriguez Family
