Oscar has been a ray of sunshine in everyone’s life who he has met. So loving and energetic! But we recently found out after him not being himself for almost a month that he is suffering from IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) and surgery is the only way to save him. It is a costly surgery, one which my family and I cannot afford sadly.
We were quoted $6000 - $8000 by the OVC (Ontario Veterinary College) which is held in high regard for animal care. We’re very lucky to have such a wonderful institute this close to home. But again the cost is much more then we can afford.
The doctors have said this surgery is very much needed ASAP as he is in pain and unwillingly to walk and function normally at this time. We have to do everything for him and he yelps with every move. Our hearts break to see him like this :(.
