Meet Oreo. A couple of weeks ago, I saw him in a slaughterhouse, about to become someone's lunch. For days, I couldn't stop thinking about saving him, but I didn't have the money. As soon as I got paid, my kids and I went on a 'save the rabbit mission.' We walked in and asked if we could buy him. They gave him to us, and I noticed his ear was injured and his fur was missing. I told him, 'You are not going to be eaten anymore—you're coming with us!'
It's been a week with Oreo the Rabbit now, and the vet told us he needs a check-up and shots. We don't have the funds for his care, but we do have a mission to save Oreo. If anyone can help us complete our mission, please do. Oreo is important to us. When you feel like no one cares and you have no way out, remember that you are meant for more—just like Oreo. God has a plan for each of us. When you feel hopeless and alone, know that you are seen and cared for. Only if Oreo knew he was going to die—how would he have reacted? Depressed, alone, scared, hurt, hopeless. Like we all feel sometimes, but there is hope. Just like I saved that rabbit and care for him, God cares for you and can change all circumstances.
Thank you for reading our story. Your support means the world to us and to Oreo. God bless you all.
