Our kitten Ollie is fighting for his life right now, and we are asking for help because we can’t do this alone.
Ollie is the light of our household. He is the happiest, most loving, playful cat we’ve ever had. We found him alone near a construction site, covered in dirt and feces, barely surviving. We couldn’t leave him there, so we took him in, cleaned him up, and promised him he would never be alone again. From that day on, he became part of our family. He brought so much love, comfort, and happiness into our home, and we truly can’t imagine life without him.
A few weeks ago, everything changed.
Ollie suddenly stopped acting like himself. He became weak, stopped eating, and we knew something was very wrong. We rushed him to the vet and have spent over $4,000 out of pocket on bloodwork, fluids, ultrasounds, medications, and emergency care just trying to find answers.
We finally got the diagnosis, and it broke our hearts.
Ollie has intussusception, a life-threatening condition where his intestines are folding in on themselves. Because of this, part of his intestine is becoming infected and blocked, and without surgery he will not survive.
The only way to save him is an emergency surgery that will cost between $6,000 and $9,000, and after everything we have already paid, this is more than our family can afford.
After this surgery, Ollie has a real chance to live a normal, healthy life again. The damaged part of his intestine can be removed, the infection can be stopped, and he can finally heal. If the procedure is successful, he will be able to eat again, gain his weight back, play, and go back to being the happy, affectionate, goofy kitten who filled our home with so much love every single day.
The funds raised will go directly toward his surgery, hospitalization, medications, and recovery care. We are not asking for anything extra — only the chance to save his life.
