Today has been one of the scariest days of my life. Early this morning, a tumor on Oliver’s spleen ruptured, causing severe internal bleeding and putting him in critical condition.

Oliver is currently in surgery right now fighting for his life. Without this procedure, he wouldn't have survived. The vets estimate the cost of his surgery and aftercare to be around $16,000, a number that is overwhelming, but I can’t imagine life without him.

I rescued Oliver on July 7th, 2017, but in so many ways, he rescued me too. Since that day, he’s been my best friend, my son, a grandson, a nephew, and my world. He has given me nothing but unconditional love, and I want to give him every chance to keep living the joyful, love filled life he deserves.

UPDATE #1 (9/01): He lost a lot of blood and is getting a blood transfusion which added $2,100 to the cost. We are still incredibly humbled by the love and support we've received within the last 2 hours. Thank you.

UPDATE #3 (9/02): Our boy made it home! He's been eating out of our hands and even mustered up the strength to go outside on his own to use the restroom. He's a fighter, and we know he wants to do more, but only time will tell how he heals.
