Help Save Oksana — She Survived a Brain Tumor and Is Fighting
for Her Life Again
My name is Luliia, and I am asking for help for my sister, Oksana
Diubanova.
17 years ago, Oksana was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She underwent
a very complex neurosurgical operation involving opening of the skull.
Several years later, the tumor started growing again, and she had to
undergo a second major brain surgery.
In fact, her skull was opened twice to save her life.
After that, her life changed forever. Oksana was assigned the highest
level of disability. She lost sensitivity on the right side of her body, has
serious speech impairments, and since then has been completely
dependent on constant care.
I am Oksana’s official legal guardian, confirmed by a court decision in
the city of Batumi (Georgia).
I moved with my sister and our mother to Batumi (Georgia) because it
became unsafe to stay in our hometown Donetsk due to military
actions.
At that time, I already had a small son. Today he is 12 years old, and my
daughter is only 2 years old.
Three years ago, our mother passed away, and since then I have been
the only person taking care of Oksana.
I am raising two minor children alone after divorce. And it is not that I
do not want to work — I physically cannot, because my sister requires
24/7 care.
Several months ago, Oksana’s condition sharply worsened.
She began losing consciousness, falling frequently, and becoming
weaker.
After one of the falls, we called an ambulance — her leg was severely
swollen.
At the hospital, it turned out that she had not only a hip fracture but also
deep vein thrombosis — a life-threatening condition.
She urgently underwent surgery to remove the clot.
After one and a half months, her condition became critical.
The hip fracture posed a direct threat to her life, and doctors performed
a hip replacement surgery — on credit, because we had no possibility to
pay for treatment.
But that was not the end.
Further examinations revealed a spinal fracture, confirmed in the
attached medical report.
Currently, Oksana is in extremely serious condition.
She cannot move independently, suffers constant pain, and requires
continuous care, treatment, and rehabilitation.
The combination of a hip prosthesis, spinal fracture, and thrombosis
creates a constant risk to her life.

Why We Need Help
At present, the financial situation is as follows:
First surgery — 9000 GEL (approx. 3300 USD)
Second surgery — 9500 GEL (approx. 3500 USD)
Expenses for medication, food, and care for 3 months — approx. 3000
USD
At this moment, a significant debt and ongoing expenses amount to
about 9800 USD.
In addition, Oksana urgently requires:
constant care
rehabilitation
medications (including for thrombosis)
medical supplies (diapers, wipes, etc.)
Monthly expenses are at least 1000 EUR.
Rehabilitation
According to rehabilitation centers in Georgia, the cost for patients in
such condition is about 90 USD per day.
Doctors estimate that rehabilitation is required for 3 to 6 months, and in
some cases up to 1 year.
Even a minimal calculation equals:
90 days × 90 USD = 8100 USD.
Our Goal
We understand that it is impossible to predict the exact total amount.
However, at this point:
there is already a debt
rehabilitation is required
ongoing expenses continue
The minimum required amount is about 20,000 USD.
The debt continues to grow every day.
I cannot work while caring for my sister and my children. Without help,
we cannot cope.
We also need to arrange documents to ensure Oksana can receive
treatment where better medical support is available.
Transparency and Trust
Oksana and I officially authorize Serhii Timoshyn to organize this
fundraising campaign.
This is because GoFundMe is not available in Georgia, and we have no
ability to launch the campaign ourselves.
All funds will be received into the organizer’s bank account in Germany
and used exclusively for Oksana’s treatment.
Funds will be transferred directly to medical institutions or accounts
related to treatment.
We are ready to provide proof of all expenses.
Additional Information
We will publish a video in which Oksana and I confirm the authenticity
of this situation.
The video will include translation so it can be understood
internationally.
