Odin is more than just my dog—he’s my family, my service animal, and my best friend. Yesterday, something terrifying happened. As I was about to get into my car, a vicious pitbull came running at me from behind. Without hesitation, Odin jumped out to protect me. He’s a little beagle, but his heart is huge. He tried to shield me from the attack, and in the struggle, I did everything I could to fight off the pitbull and protect Odin, but he was bitten badly.

The bite caused a hernia so severe that Odin’s small intestines dropped down. I rushed him to the vet and paid everything I could, but now he needs emergency surgery to survive. The surgery will put his intestines back, repair the hernia, and check for any other internal injuries. I have to get this done tomorrow or the day after at the latest, or I could lose him. Odin is my hero for saving me, and I can’t bear the thought of losing him after all he’s done for me.
