Ayuda urgente para Numan: su vida depende de nosotros

Hola, somos la familia de Numan Fariñas, un hombre de 48 años — esposo, primo, hermano, amigo — y un ser humano profundamente comprometido con su comunidad y su fe.

Antes de enfermar, Numan dedicaba gran parte de su tiempo a trabajar con la iglesia católica en Venezuela, organizando campañas con su esposa para recaudar fondos, cocinar y entregar comida a niños necesitados y a personas enfermas en hospitales públicos. Siempre ayudó a los más vulnerables con amor, esfuerzo y esperanza.

Hoy, él es quien necesita nuestra ayuda.

Numan se encuentra gravemente enfermo, postrado, extremadamente débil y con múltiples complicaciones médicas que ponen su vida en riesgo cada día. Su estado se ha deteriorado de forma alarmante, y ya no contamos con los recursos para cubrir los gastos médicos que necesita con urgencia.

Diagnóstico médico

Numan ha sido diagnosticado con:

- Glomerulonefritis membranosa de causa desconocida, una enfermedad autoinmune que está destruyendo sus riñones.

- Disproteinemia severa, con niveles extremadamente bajos de albúmina (2 g/dl), lo que significa que su cuerpo ya no puede retener proteínas. Esto ha provocado una pérdida drástica de peso, hinchazón, debilidad extrema y úlceras por presión.

- Desequilibrios graves de electrolitos, incluyendo:

- Hipopotasemia moderada (2.5 mEq/L)

- Hyponatremia (127.9 mEq/L)

- Hipocloremia severa (82.1 mEq/L)

Estos valores tan bajos pueden causar arritmias cardíacas, desmayos y daño neuromuscular.

- Hipertensión secundaria grave como consecuencia del daño renal.

- Úlcera por presión grado II en la región sacra, debido a su inmovilidad y estado general de debilidad.

Hoy, Numan no puede caminar ni valerse por sí mismo.

Depende completamente de su esposa Penélope para su higiene, alimentación y cuidado diario. Usa pañales de forma permanente.

Tratamiento urgente que necesita

Para estabilizar su estado y mantenerlo con vida, los médicos han indicado:

- Albúmina humana al 20 % cada 48 horas por vía intravenosa (muy costosa y difícil de conseguir)

- Bumex, un diurético intravenoso cada 12 horas

- Cellcept (Micofenolato), un inmunosupresor esencial para frenar el avance de la enfermedad

- Exámenes inmunológicos frecuentes y atención en clínicas privadas, ya que el sistema público no puede brindarle la atención adecuada

Ya hemos agotado todos nuestros recursos. Cada examen, medicamento o consulta representa un gasto que no podemos seguir cubriendo sin ayuda.

Medical Diagnosis

Numan has been diagnosed with:

- Moderate hypokalemia (2.5 mEq/L)

- Hyponatremia (127.9 mEq/L)

- Severe hypochloremia (82.1 mEq/L)

These values can lead to cardiac arrhythmias, fainting, and neuromuscular damage.

Numan can no longer walk or care for himself. He is fully dependent on his wife Penélope for hygiene, feeding, and daily care — he now uses diapers permanently.

Urgent Treatment Required

To stabilize his condition, doctors have prescribed:

- 20% human albumin IV infusions every 48 hours (very expensive and hard to obtain)

Numan ist schwer krank, bettlägerig, extrem geschwächt und leidet an mehreren medizinischen Komplikationen, die täglich sein Leben bedrohen. Sein Zustand hat sich dramatisch verschlechtert, und wir haben keine Mittel mehr, um die dringend benötigte medizinische Versorgung zu bezahlen.

Bevor er krank wurde, arbeitete Numan eng mit der katholischen Kirche in Venezuela zusammen, um Spenden zu sammeln, Essen zu kochen und es an bedürftige Kinder und kranke Menschen in Krankenhäusern zu verteilen. Er war immer für andere da – nun braucht er selbst unsere Hilfe.

Medizinische Diagnose

Numan leidet an:

- Membranöser Glomerulonephritis unbekannter Ursache – eine Autoimmunerkrankung, die seine Nieren zerstört.

- Schwere Dysproteinämie, mit extrem niedrigem Albuminwert (2 g/dl) – sein Körper kann keine Eiweiße mehr speichern. Dies führte zu extremem Gewichtsverlust, Wassereinlagerungen, Schwäche und Druckgeschwüren.

- Schwere Elektrolytstörungen, darunter:

- Moderate Hypokaliämie (2,5 mEq/L)

- Hyponatriämie (127,9 mEq/L)

- Schwere Hypochlorämie (82,1 mEq/L)

Diese Werte können Herzrhythmusstörungen, Ohnmacht und Muskelschwäche verursachen.

Numan kann nicht mehr laufen oder sich selbst versorgen. Er ist vollständig auf seine Ehefrau angewiesen – für Pflege, Hygiene und Ernährung. Er trägt dauerhaft Windeln.

Dringend benötigte Behandlung

Um ihn zu stabilisieren, haben die Ärzte verordnet:
