Nova is officially out of surgery and the blockage has been removed! She is going to be recovering in the hospital for the next few days, to make sure she stays stable.

Now that the procedure is finished, we’ve received the final bill for her emergency care, and it is an overwhelming $10,000. This covers her initial emergency exam, the surgery itself, anesthesia, and her critical intensive care stay.

Because that is such an overwhelming number, we are setting an initial goal of $5,000 to help us cover the most immediate costs and the deposit we had to pay to get her into the operating room.
