Help Save Nonie
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Kelsey Collier and I have created this GoFundMe fundraiser in help for my mom, Kathy Collier, who is in need of lifesaving medical infusions every month for the rest of her life…
Some of you may know my mom, Kathy Collier, either from her experiences with Discount Drug Mart or from growing up. However if you don’t know her let me introduce her. She is like the light that shines through the window after days of rain. My mom never has a mean thing to ever say about anyone, she is the most caring and nicest people I have ever been blessed to meet. My mom welcomes everyone around with a warm smile and sparkle in her eye. She is a hard devoted worker to her company and customers. She is my absolute best friend and my oldest daughter’s favorite person in the world. My mom gave her all to my brother and I after her divorce to my dad, and she continues to do that everyday even as adults, even more so now with my two beautiful daughters who call her “Nonie”.
Mid year of 2022 her asthma started flaring up really bad. She went to see a pulmonologist who did countless chest x-rays, blood work and prescribed countless of steroids, antibiotics and other medications. Nothing was helping her flare ups. Fast forward two years- her blood work numbers were not making sense and all over the charts. The pulmonologist then referred us to an immunologist, where we finally received a diagnosis of Common Variable Immune Deficiency or (CVID). CVID affects 1 in every 25,000 people and often people with this disease suffer from frequent lung infections like my mom was experiencing two years ago. To this day the CVID has since turned and started attacking her own body. Her kidney functions are weakening and things are slowing down.
It is hard to stand up and ask for help when someone really needs it. I want to see my girls be able to experience life with their Nonie. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️
