Help Save Nina PLEASE

So here it is son's. Mom Casaundra went to walk Nina to get my son from school. She had been gone a minute when I heard blood-curdling screams over and over. I ran from the house to see her running with Nina trying to get away from the pitbull As it was not on a leash. To keep it as short as possible, I ran outside, jumped on the pitbull, doing what I was able to push it, and did whatever I could to get it to release Nina from its bite hold, so it would not be able to lock its jaws on Nina. So I was able to get the dog to let her go after a few moments. Trying to get the dog to focus on me. I used my feet to keep the dog at a distance best I was able for the circumstances. The owner ran up grabbed her. Dog and put a collar on her. So I had a moment to get Nina in a car where my son's mom was to be safe. By the time I turned around to try to talk to the lady, she had runoff. So I went looking for her but could not find her in the area. I am asking for whatever helps with the situation. She was a rescue dog and had been attacked once already by a pitvull. So this is the second time she has been attacked

I had been out of work due to a bout with covid because of three underlying lung conditions and have not worked. So I don't have the 900 they want tonight to get started. So they are requesting I pick her up tonight.

The lady who owns the dog gave us the run around as Casaundra and lil man waited for her to arrive based on the info she provided. So I could then relay to the veterinarian. Then communication with her ceased about 10pm. The police let me know they were very familiar with her and had doubts she would follow through based on previous encounters and her history. Anyhow they need 900 to start the surgery. Nina has a gash as you can see from pictures that is 3 and 3/4 long and 2 and 1/8 inches wide. As seen in tje pictures she has a puncture that goes through 3 muscles and has ripped sinew or tendons. The total is 1860. I am hoping for help with 900.00, so she may get her surgery started as they are holding her until the funds are ready. Or I pay the examination amount and take her home until I have the funds. I want to deal with the balance myself somehow. But I was informed they would board her till the balance is paid in full. Our family would be ever so grateful to help with this terrible situation.
