Hi, my name is Samantha and I am a college student at Ohio State. Upon coming home to New Jersey for spring break, my family and I were faced with a tragic situation. One of my two dogs, Nigel, was rushed to the hospital and almost died. He has a mass that had burst and was bleeding out. The doctors told us he had almost died in the operating room. Nigel has faced struggles before, including a surgery where he lost his spleen. We thought our luck had run out, and he had lost so much blood that the doctors had almost lost him mid-surgery. They had to remove his gallbladder because of where the mass had burst. I was still at school during this outburst and worried I might not get to say goodbye. He was so strong and fought so hard and has been returned to us after many blood transfusions and lots of medication. During his surgery, the doctor had discovered many other masses but could do nothing about it. He is home for now, but this surgery put my family into deep financial stress and we don't know if we'll be able to afford his future cancer treatments. Please help me save Nigel, because without these treatments we can't let him suffer.
