Help Save New Paltz Equestrian!

We need your help!

We are the New Paltz Equestrian Team. Our organization has been active for over twenty years, offering equal opportunities for riders of differing experience and financial backgrounds to compete at the collegiate level.

As an organization, we are very proud of the achievements we have, as well as the hard work that many individuals have contributed to our success. In 2022, a sector of our team won the Eastern College Athletic Conference Single Discipline North Regional Championships and went on to compete in the National Collegiate Equestrian Association National Championships in Ocala, Florida. This past year, six of our riders qualified for and competed at Regionals, one of the postseason shows leading up to the IHSA National Championships.

However, there are considerable expenses that come with running the New Paltz Equestrian Team. In 2022, the SUNY New Paltz Athletic Association experienced budget cuts, which resulted in the Equestrian Team losing the majority of its funding from the Athletic Association. This year, we are receiving a one-time donation that, without any fundraising efforts on our part, will mean the team will be unable to sustain itself. In spite of the ongoing challenges presented to us, we are doing everything we can to keep our spirits high, perform extensive fundraising efforts, acquire local and corporate sponsorships, and keep the legacy of the New Paltz Equestrian Team alive. This is where you come in!

Even the smallest contribution can help and will be greatly appreciated. Any funds donated will be used to help alleviate costs of competition and IHSA league fees, membership fees, and use of our barn facility.
