Our dear friend Neil, a retired member of our community here in Costa Rica, is facing a heartbreaking crisis. After a lifetime of hard work, Neil retired here because it was more affordable — but even so, he's been living on a very small pension, just enough to get by.

Unfortunately, that small income hasn’t been enough to cover his property taxes. Now, the local municipality is preparing to foreclose on his home. We have just two months to raise $4,200 to pay off the back taxes and stop the foreclosure.

Neil is not someone who ever asks for help. But right now, he truly needs us. This is a chance for us to come together as a community — to protect the dignity of a good man, and to keep him from losing the one thing he has left: his home.
