Our hearts are breaking. Nala has been with our family for 12 beautiful years — she’s more than a pet; she’s a member of our family, our children’s gentle companion, and a source of endless love and comfort.
Just a few days ago, we noticed something was wrong. Nala became withdrawn, stopped eating, and her mood changed. When we looked closer, we found a terrible wound on her stomach. We rushed her to the vet, terrified of what they might say. After tests and examinations, the diagnosis hit us like a storm — a mammary gland tumor. The doctor explained that this kind of tumor appears in 80–90% of cats over 8–10 years old, and that urgent surgery is the only way to save her.
The news shattered us. Not only will Nala need life-saving surgery, but she will also require treatment afterwards to fully recover. The estimated total cost for her surgery and post-surgery care is €5,000 — an amount we simply cannot afford.
Our children have already started asking us, “Will Nala die?” and it’s almost impossible to hold back tears when we look into their eyes. Miljan, the father in our family, and all of us are doing everything we can — but we can’t do this alone.
If you know the love of a pet who has been by your side for over a decade, you understand how deeply this hurts. We are reaching out to kind-hearted people to help give Nala the chance she deserves.
Please, if you can, donate to save her life. Every euro will go directly towards her surgery and treatment so she can come home, safe and healthy, to the family that loves her more than words can say.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for helping us keep Nala’s story from ending too soon. ❤️
